Data we collect
Account data: email address, authentication credentials, display name or pen name, and interface preferences. User content: text materials, documents, and project parameters submitted or generated within the platform. Billing data: subscription plan details and transaction records handled by our payment processor (Paddle). We do not store complete payment card details. Technical information: standard connection parameters, device telemetry, and security logs necessary to maintain system stability and platform integrity. Third-party authentication: profile identifier and verified email when signing in with supported identity providers (such as Google or GitHub). Newsletter: submitted email address when opting in to product updates.
How we use it
To operate and maintain the platform, fulfill user requests, process subscriptions and resource allocations, deliver transactional service notices, and safeguard system security. We do not sell your content or personal information to third parties. Newsletter emails are strictly used for periodic product announcements.
Automated processing
To deliver automated text processing and generation features, the service interacts with specialized technology and infrastructure providers strictly to the extent necessary to fulfill user requests. We do not use your private project content to train our own public foundation models. Users should refrain from submitting confidential or unauthorized information.
Payments
Paid subscriptions and resource top-ups are processed by Paddle, who acts as merchant of record. Paddle collects the payment details needed to charge you and to handle tax. We receive confirmation of the purchase, the plan, and sufficient details to apply your entitlements.
Retention and deletion
Data is retained while your account remains active or until deleted through the user interface. To request complete account deletion, contact [email protected] from your registered account email. Backup archives and security event logs are purged automatically in accordance with standard retention schedules.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data, or to restrict specific processing. Inquiries may be directed to [email protected].
Children
Amara Scribe is not directed at children under 16. If you believe data relating to a child has been collected, contact us and it will be removed promptly.
Changes
We reserve the right to update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page with the effective date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
Processors
- Amara Scribe. Storage of subscriber contact addresses for platform updates.
- PostHog (EU Cloud). Aggregated product and performance analytics to assess platform functionality.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. Protection against automated attacks, bots, and abuse across authentication and submission forms.
- Paddle. Merchant of record for subscriptions and token top-ups. Paddle processes payment and tax; we receive the result, not your full card number.
- Cloudflare R2. Secure cloud infrastructure for storage and delivery of platform assets and media.
- Specialized AI infrastructure providers. Process submitted text requests strictly to generate requested service outputs.
- Google. Authentication service used to verify identity and enable secure account sign-in.
- GitHub. Authentication service used to verify identity and enable secure account sign-in.
