Reuse policy The system remembers which sources have already been used and can reuse them in later chapters, keep them up to date, and hold important context across a large 200–500 page book. Example: you're writing about the underwater world and you've uploaded your journals, PDFs about diving, and travel notes. While you're writing the chapter “The Underwater World”, Amara will pull excerpts specifically about that theme — not about other topics — so the AI writes based on your real materials. It's a “write my book based on my documents” feature, not on all uploaded files at once.

Anti drift memory A system that stores the “memory” of the entire book: characters, facts, events, quotes and timeline. Regular chatbots often forget what was written dozens of pages ago, and a character can suddenly change age, appearance or history. Amara constantly cross-checks new text against already-written chapters so the book stays logical and consistent from the first to the last page.

Upload your files: PDF, DOCX, TXT, HTML, Markdown. They land in “Collections” — your private knowledge base. As you write a chapter, Amara automatically finds the most relevant excerpts and pulls them into the editor as context for the AI.

Streaming chapters — Chapters load as a stream — the text doesn't wait for the entire book to finish; it appears gradually, in real time.
Edit while it writes — You can change the text even as it's being generated.
Regenerate on a new prompt — If a chapter doesn't work, give a new instruction and the system rewrites that chapter specifically.
Approve the outline, then chapters — First you approve the book's structure, then each chapter individually.
Manual mode — The system pauses after every step and you press “approve / continue”.
Automatic mode — The book is generated without stops.
Switch anytime — Move from automatic to manual (or back) at any point.
Zen mode — The interface hides all panels, buttons and technical elements, leaving only clean text for comfortable writing.
